Brightspeed.com — web UI, component libraries, Figma architecture
Overview
Brightspeed's main website is the front door for a national internet provider. I led its full redesign at the time, along with the Figma foundation library, file system, and page layouts every page was built from.
I directed the redesign from visual direction through final page layouts, working with UX, product, and development.
I led the architecture of the core foundation library, so every page drew from the same tokens, components, and layout rules.
Website Redesign
I led visual and product design across Brightspeed.com, spanning core website layouts, reusable component libraries, and scalable UI patterns designed to maintain brand consistency across a large, continuously evolving web presence.
Design Practice
Creative direction extended beyond individual screens to the structure of the design practice itself: organizing files and libraries, establishing shared standards, and guiding designers across interconnected products. The full component library and system architecture behind this work is covered in the Design Ecosystem project.
Responsive by Design
Every page type scaled from desktop to mobile on the same components and rules, from the address check and plan comparisons to customer reviews and promotional modules. Close collaboration with UX, product, development, and client stakeholders translated complex requirements into accessible, cohesive experiences aligned with Brightspeed's brand and platform needs.
Outcome
Scalable UI across a complex ecosystem. Design for Brightspeed's core web experience held up across a multi-team digital ecosystem.
Consistent, accessible, and connected. Figma libraries and design systems improved consistency, accessibility, and cross-team collaboration.
Faster production and handoff. Scalable components, patterns, and file structures streamlined production workflows and development handoff.
Quality held across the experience. Shared standards, ongoing reviews, and creative direction kept designers and cross-functional teams aligned.
